Our office has 4 treatment rooms, with breathtaking ocean views from each. During dental treatment we offer headsets to listen to music. Our patients love the latest panoramic x-ray machine that takes a full set of x-rays, comfortably in just 18 seconds and has proven to reduce radiation by 90%. We have nitrous oxide available to those patients with apprehension and light sedation upon prior request.

Dr. Dyan Van De Velde, DMD
As a child, I hated going to the dentist! You could say I became a dentist as self-defense; but actually, I became a dentist because I fell in love with this unique profession. We are doctors but also artists, psychologists and engineers. I love helping people get healthy, stay healthy and smiling again. I am lucky to have found my calling for a lifetime.
In my free time; I like to hike, scuba dive, ski and enjoy the outdoors. I am also a private pilot and I enjoy using the plane to assist Pilots n Paws, Angel Flights, and Flying Samaritans.

Dr. Jason Gong, DDS
My name is Jason Gong. I am a California native and received my undergraduate and dental education at UCLA. After spending a decade in West LA, I met my wife Michelle who has been a lifelong resident of the South Bay. After experiencing the quieter and more relaxed air of life here in the South Bay, we knew this was where we wanted to plant our roots!
I believe that trust is the foundation of all patient relationships and I seek to reflect that by taking the time to educate my patients about their dental needs and providing gentle, quality care. It inspires me to see how Dr. Van De Velde has built that foundation of trust with you, her patients, here at Lunada Bay Dental, and I’m so excited to join the team.

I graduated from USC School of Dentistry and have been a practicing dental hygienist for 40 years in the South Bay area. Both my husband and I enjoyed growing up in Palos Verdes, and we have raised three adult daughters. When not cleaning teeth, I enjoy gardening and traveling abroad to European destinations, especially France.

Since graduating in 1991, I have loved the interaction with patients and their families and being able to encourage them in their dental health. I was born in Colombia, and I am fluent in the Spanish language. I have been married to my husband Steve almost 28 years, and we have been blessed with 5 wonderful children. We all enjoy camping in our RV and have made some pretty memorable trips around the US. We also enjoy the beach and volleyball with friends from Hope Chapel.

I graduated from West LA College/UCLA hygiene program and have been in the dental field for 15 years, and a hygienist for 8 years. My passion for dentistry is to provide safe and gentle treatments to my patients. I grew up in the South Bay and have a wonderful little 6 year old that keeps me on my toes. I enjoy lifting, playing soccer, and golf on my free time.
